What We Did
Jane had done a fair bit of research upfront and had already chosen the Brunch Pro theme which she felt would best deliver the clean design she was looking for.
We installed the Bunch Pro theme and customised it using a limited colour palette complementary to her header logo, and neutral elsewhere.
Next we set-up the front page making the best use of available widgets and space to showcase Jane's content. We used the video widget to add one of Jane's latest videos under the top three latest posts, giving it more prominence on her blog.

The Brief
Jane is a food writer, photographer and recipe creator and has been blogging at Hedgecombers since 2008. Her blog was already in a Genesis (WordPress) theme but looking a little outdated, and Jane wanted a theme refresh with a simple clean design, lots of white space and a neutral colour palette.
Client Feedback
I've been blogging at this domain since 2008, and have always done all my theme changes, updates and tech stuff myself.
Whilst this may have saved me money over the years, it definitely didn't save on the stress, and it's also led to my site being slowed down by years worth of bad habits.
Having Callia Web on call to redesign, update and untangle some of those messes has been a godsend. My site is faster, easier to navigate and the whole process has been a positive one.
The best bit about getting help for the more technical aspects of my site, is that it frees up my time for content creation, which is the part that I love!
