Resilient Lagoon Network
The Resilient Lagoon Network project, co-led by Dr. Sian Davies-Vollum, is a one-year academic research project looking to raise awareness of the effect of coastal changes on the communities that reside around the lagoons in West Africa.
As well as raising awareness and building a network of researchers, the goal is to develop a policy briefing, highlighting the many challenges in this region, for policymakers around the globe.
The project needed an identity, so we started the process by designing a simple logo.
We then organised a virtual discovery session with the multidisciplinary team based across the UK and Africa to discuss the website requirements.
This enabled us to create a sitemap, wireframe, and style guide visuals for the website, giving the team a feel for the design direction and a chance to contribute any ideas or feedback.
Once the team had coordinated and written their content, we built their website in WordPress. The layout and styling were designed around the critical messaging and content. The process involved working within the browser for a more efficient turnaround.
