What We Did
Vanessa had a distinct look and layout in mind and provided mock ups of the home page. It became apparent that the Shay Bock's Foodie theme (a third party Genesis theme) would be a good starting base for this website.
We customised the fonts and colours to match Vanessa's branding but the real work was in the functionality. We created a course custom post type so that all courses could be kept separate from the blog. We also extensively used custom fields to add the date, time, type of course and availability. We built a special course calendar page template that automatically updates with forthcoming courses.
For selling gift vouchers, starter sourdough and other items we created a products custom post type with it's own custom fields.
For the Sourdough Club we implemented the WordPress post password protection to enable students access to the restricted content.
We provide Vanessa with ongoing support and assistance as her business grows.

The Brief
It is difficult to summarise the brief because this website is one that has evolved over the years we've been working with Vanessa.
Originally Vanessa wanted to start a new blog using self hosted WordPress. Having been using Blogger for some time she knew exactly the look she wanted.
As Vanessa's passion for Sourdough grew she started offering courses and needed a way for people to book the courses and to buy gift vouchers.
The most recent new requirement was Vanessa wanted to offer her course students access to additional content.
Client Feedback
I am delighted with my website. The whole process was straight forward, Jo’s easy professional manner and attention to detail is second to none and I have no hesitation in recommending her.
